We all know our alphabets from A to Z. Isn’t that the first thing we learned in school? So! What’s so special about April and blogging the alphabet that come April and we see a frenzy of bloggers gearing up for the A to Z challenge? Blogging from A to Z entails writing posts every day from the first of April about any topic. The only criteria is that the post’s topics be in alphabetical order. There is a wave of theme reveal posts and people committing to write every day in April save Sunday’s.
Interesting yes, gruelling yes. So why would people want to put themselves up to this torture? Well, because it stretches you to your limits, imaginations run wild, you learn of your own strengths and weaknesses, you start a regime that involves you being disciplined and posting regularly. It challenges you as a blogger to come up with regular and interesting posts, and keep your readers involved for a whole month.
What you gain most out of this is interaction with old and new readers, different perspectives and make new friends in the blogging community amongst the people who are attempting the challenge along with you. This is the month in which you must follow a writing regime and is especially helpful for bloggers who have just started blogging, or those who are irregular in their posting. What you also get is also amazing friends, like-minded people who have the same focus and mind-set as you.
But what is the biggest achievement of this challenge is to give you a sense of accomplishment and success, bear in mind it is not an easy task to write every day and that too alphabetically, if you have a theme that is another added handicap. Moreover, finishing this along with your family, job etc in short life is a big ego booster.
Interested in taking up the challenge there is still time, enrol here.
Me and a few of my friends are also participating in this challenge. Do visit us in April to cheer us along:
